Rick Leonardi

b. Jan 1 1957
About the Artist:
Rick Leonardi grew up in Haverhill, Massachusetts and attended Dartmouth College. He started working for Marvel in 1980 and has illustrated many comics including SPIDERMAN, HULK, VISION AND SCARLET WITCH, CLOAK AND DAGGER, DAREDEVIL. UNCANNY X-MEN, NEW MUTANTS, FANTASTIC FOUR, PAINKILLER JANE and NIGHT WING, BATMAN AND TEEN TITANS for DC Comics. One of his claims to fame is that he co-created SPIDERMAN 2099 and was largely responsible for designing the black-and-white costume which he wore for a time and led to the creation of the villain, Venom. His illustrations are also somewhat unique in his constant change of focus and perspective in his drawings.
